Combine all ingredients and form into 1 tsp. balls. Fry slowly until done (drain on paper towels).
Pastry:
Sift flour, salt paprika into large bowl. Stir in Cheddar. Cut in margarine, then work with hands until smooth. Form 1 tbs. of dough around sausage ball. Bake at 375° for 15-20 min.
May freeze before baking - bake unthawed balls at 400° for 20-25 minutes.
(Note: this recipe is also really good when whole, pimiento-stuffed olives are substituted for the sausage mixture.)
