This recipe originally called for pepitas. I substitute pecans for the pepitas and I guess that you could substitute any other nut you wanted as well. This makes 2 cups.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray baking sheet with nonstick spray. Mix pecans and next 6 ingredients in a medium bowl. Stir in 1/4-1/2 t. cayenne pepper depending on spiciness desired (use 1/2 t.- any less doesn't give it any type of a bite). Spread pecans in single layer on baking sheet.

Bake until pecans are golden and dry, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes (or sometimes a bit more but be careful as these will burn in a flash). Separate pecans with fork while warm. Cool.
