To Missoula on the Northern Parks Ltd. |
Tuesday May 30, 2000 - Yellowstone Today we continued touring the park, and made a stop at the brink of Upper Yellowstone Falls which is at peak flow. The next stop at Artist's Point gives us a chance to look back at the falls from downstream in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. This is where Thomas Moran made one of his famous sketches that were instrumental in getting the U.S. Congress to make Yellowstone the nation's first National Park. We bought a set of Muran prints at the gift shop. Also a set of Viewmasters. We saw coyotes from the bus as our bus turned the corner at Roosevelt Lodge. We exited the park at the seldom used Northeast Entrance near Silver City.
