We are in the Black Hills and it is a complete change of climate. It seems so strange to see all these trees because we haven't seen big stands of trees for several days. Our drive into the Black Hills was via the Spearfish Canyon Scenic Drive. Near Lead and Deadwood we checked out the Presidents Park and the George Mickelson Trail.

During our stay in Hill City, we toured the Crazy Horse monument, took the Needles Scenic Drive, rode bikes on the Mickelson Trail, took a train ride to Keystone and back and saw Mount Rushmore.
