To Missoula on the Northern Parks Ltd. |
Tuesday May 23, 2000 - Going to the Sun Road We drove to West Glacier and took a portion of Going to the Sun Road in Glacier Park as far as it is open at this time of the year. Even though this stop is on our Lindblad tour, we thought a preview might be interesting, since it so close to Kalispell. The first point of interest is McDonald Lake. On the other side of the mountains is a triple Continental Divide. Water in this lake ends up in the Pacific Ocean via the Columbia River. The other side drains either to the Gulf of Mexico Via the Missouri, or to Hudson Bay. | Related Links: |
