Friday, June 11 - Saint Charles, Missouri This morning we drove to St. Charles where the whole Corp of Discovery departed on May 21, 1804 to begin their journey. There is a large historic district with many little shops with a variety of architectural styles.
After lunch at the Lewis and Clark Inn we went to the Lewis and Clark Boat House and Nature Center. It was a small museum that featured dioramas depicting the expedition. From there, we walked over to Frontier Park and viewed the Lewis and Clark Monument - a large bronze statue of Clark, Lewis, and Seaman. We said goodbye to Cindy and Ken and left to continue our journey west.
