Zion Canyon Zion to Bryce Bryce Canyon Bryce to Moab Arches Near Moab Mesa Verde Monument Valley Glen Canyon Grand Canyon Lake Mead |
I had wanted to see this area primarily for the arch bridge spanning the canyon just below the dam. As a structural engineering student at about the time the bridge was built, I had built a model of the bridge out of popscicle sticks and stips of wood. It was ten feet in length and could support the weight of two Lionel electric train engines.
